Safe Dates is the only evidence-based curriculum that addresses teen dating violence. Attend this full day training to be able to facilitate the curriculum with youth. The training will provide an overview of the issue, demonstration of curriculum materials and opportunities for participants to practice teaching the materials.
If you are purchasing the $161 ticket, you may pay by credit card. If you cannot pay by credit card, please print out the registration form, fill it in by hand and mail it with a check made payable to Virginia Department of Health to the below address. The individual may not be registered until the check and registration form are received.
The true cost of this training per participant is about $54, plus the cost of program materials. Each set of Safe Dates is valued at $215. The cost of this event is covered by federal funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This training is provided by Hazelden-certified Safe Dates trainers from the Virginia Department of Health and Virginia Commonwealth University.
